The Red Crescent: it went to establish modern ambulance centers in public parking lots and parks, in partnership with the business sector

The Director-General of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority branch in the Eastern Province, Dr. Khaled bin Radi Al-Enzi, affirmed the partnership with the business sector, praising its role in providing support and interaction with the branch’s initiatives, and providing expertise and advice in all the details related to the branch’s work.

Al-Anzi said during a monthly meeting for the business sector organized by the Asharqia Chamber on Tuesday evening April 6, 2021, and managed by the Secretary-General of the Chamber, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel, that the Saudi Red Crescent Authority is moving towards a new initiative to transform into the establishment of small aid centers within the available spaces of public parking spaces and parks with an area of \ u200b \ u200b 90 square meters.

Al-Enzi explained that the project aims to optimize the use of operating expenses, achieve proliferation, and cover the city's suburbs completely, to reach global rates of response time (less than 10 minutes), noting that securing the project sites is being implemented in coordination with the Eastern Region Municipality.

Al-Enzi pointed out that this new project is a valuable opportunity for the business sector to contribute to its implementation, pointing to several advantages that the supporting bodies obtain from the business sector. Small in size, in addition to that it works with one ambulance, and low in cost, as the cost of building it does not exceed 350 thousand riyals percenter, as it is linked electronically to the main centers.

Al-Enzi stated that the authority and within its vision is seeking to create 25 aid centers and replace 26 rented emergency centers, pointing out that the new system will follow several emergency centers from the smaller centers to a large intermediate ambulance center, unlike what is currently working in, where the ambulance centers are linked to the ambulance departments, stressing that this provides Streamlining of work in addition to the need for administrative offices, warehouses, or spare cars in the mini-emergency centers.

Al-Enzi indicated that 40 percent of the Red Crescent centers are either rented and high-cost, or prefabricated houses that do not match the expectations of the work environment and do not keep pace with the principles and requirements of modern technology, and for this reason, the authority seeks to establish modern, advanced centers alternative to these centers in the framework of keeping pace with development and creating a modern work environment.
